It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Guadalupe R. Ramirez of San Benito, Texas, who passed away on March 12, 2024, at the age of 101, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Emilio L. Rodriguez and Aurora B. Rodriguez; her husband Juan Vidal Ramirez Sr.; her granddaughter Melissa Ann Hernandez; her siblings, Emilio L., Alfonso, Abel, Armando Rodriguez, Delia Trevino and Aurora Bartlett; and her son Juan Vidal Ramirez, Jr. (Maricela).
She is survived by: her children, Aurora Angela Garza, Oralia Hernandez (Former Mayor Joe, Sr.), Anna Celina Rodriguez (Ray), Nora Belinda Garcia (Jesus), Carlos Ramirez (Thelma) and Gloria San Juana Perez (James); her caregivers, Rick, Anna and Billie; and her grandchildren, Hector D. Garza III, Joe Hernandez Jr., Raynaldo Rodriguez Jr., Judge Chuy Garcia, Aaron Vidal Ramirez, James John Perez II and Grace Yan Jie Ramirez. She is also survived by her 21 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; and 4 great-great grandchildren.
