He was predeceased by: his parents, Luciano Loya and Luisa Castro Loya; his brother George C. Loya (Maria Hutchinson Loya); his granddaughter Jessica Ashley Parker; his wife Olga Carrizales Loya; his daughters, Maria Luisa Morgan and Laura Loya; and his grandchildren, Juan Francisco Vega, Stephanie Leigh Parker, Taylor McKinley Morgan, Angelique Felis McClellan, Christopher Michael Loya and Joaquin Edward Sherwin.
He is survived by: his sister Josephina L. Collazo; and his brother-in-law Hector Collazo. He is also survived by nephews, nieces, stepchildren, and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
A rosary was held on Sunday, March 30th 2025 at 7:00 AM at the Buck Ashcraft San Benito Funeral Home (1400 E Business 77, San Benito, TX 78586). Visitation was held on Sunday, March 30th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the same location. A Mass was held on Monday, March 31st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the St. Theresa Catholic Church (1300 Combes St, San Benito, TX 78586). A burial was held on Monday, March 31st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Mont Meta Memorial Park (26170 TX-345, San Benito, TX 78586).
