We are sad to announce that on January 26, 2025, at the age of 29, Andrew Elijah Cantu of San Benito, Texas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Andrew Elijah departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Andrew Elijah may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Andrew Elijah leaves behind.
He is survived by: his parents, Anna Maria Rios and Joseph Cantu; and his siblings, Joseph Cantu Jr., Brandon Anderson, Jeremiah Cantu, James Cantu, Mathew Cantu, Abraham Cantu, Ethan Cantu and Veronica Cantu.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 29th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Thomae-Garza Funeral Home (395 S Sam Houston Blvd, San Benito, TX 78586). A rosary was held on Wednesday, January 29th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Benedict Catholic Church (401 S Bowie St, San Benito, TX 78586).
