It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Andres Cordova Jr. of San Benito, Texas, who passed away on December 8, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Felicidad Gutierrez Cordova and Andres Cordova; his siblings, Mary Jane Cordova Simpson and Hernan Cordova; and his sons, Andres Cordova III and Juan Antonio Cordova.

He is survived by : his family, Captain Antonio Gil Y'Barbo, Nacogdoches and Austin University Campus; his daughter Rosario Cordova-Galvan (Roman); his grandchildren, Rachel Rose Galvan and Roman Daniel Galvan Jr.; his siblings, Hortencia Cordova, David Cordova (Gilda), Emma Hinojosa (Carlos), Norman Z. Cordova (Isabel), Ofilia Cordova Grubb and Cesar Cordova (Faye); and his sister-in-law Natalia Guetzow (Faustino).
