She was predeceased by: her parents, Horace E. Wilburn and Bernice Elliott Wilburn; her husband Wyman Earl Tompkins; her daughter-in-law Terri Smith Tompkins; and her siblings, Larry Wilburn and Joyce Smith.
She is survived by: her children, Peggy Tompkins Collins (Michael) of Shelbyville, Michael Tompkins (Paula) of San Augustine and Keith Tompkins of Shelbyville; her grandchildren, Christopher Winfield (Adriane), Luke Winfield (Brittany), Jon Michael Tompkins (Jessica), Lynsie Watson (Stephen) and Winston Tompkins (Ashlyn); her great grandchildren, Avery, Peyton, Jacob, Harleigh, Madi, Declan, Reece, Mason, Asher, Wylden and Lachlyn; and her brothers, Travis Wilburn (Delma) of Shelby County and Carroll Wilburn (Virginia) of Shelby County. She is also survived by nieces and nephews, family and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, October 24th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Watson & Sons Funeral Home (1554 TX-7, Center, TX 75935). A funeral service was held on Thursday, October 24th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, October 24th 2024 at the Patroon Cemetery.
