He was predeceased by: his brother George Newton Jr.. He is survived by: his cousins, Gladys Ford, Laverne Harmon and Robert Boyd.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to the Davis-Scott YMCA or the Phillis Wheatley HS Alumni Association in his name.
