He is survived by: his daughter Tiffany Chiffon; his wife Johnnie M. Heard; his son Willie M. Heard III; his siblings, Gloria D. Ramey (Oubin), David W. Heard, Sr. (Burnis) and Jerlene E. Malone (Roosevelt); his in-laws, Natherine Heard, Gwen Ramey, Paula Heard, Harvey, Christina Poage, Horace, Debra Holliday, Barbara I. Green, Robert Holliday, Jerry L. Holliday and Emily E. Holliday; his extended family Dayshon Walker; and his godson Brother David. He is also survived by nieces and nephews; cousins.
He served and/or chaired multiple scholarship committees with Shiloh MBC; CBBU; Pi Theta Lambda Educational Foundation, Inc. (PTLEF); and the Texas Council of Alpha Chapters (TCAC).
