He is survived by: his wife Lanelle Marie Hill; his children, Lloyd Hickle Oetken of Brownwood and Jan Oetken Leggett (Jesse D.) of Anahuac; his sisters, Ione Ricke of Halletsville and Jeanettte Massico of Lafayette; his grandchildren, Jennifer Leggett Hiley (Grant), James Newton Leggett II (Kayla) and Justin Hill Leggett; and his great grandchildren, Lila Marie Leggett, Emma James Leggett, Barrett Harvey Hiley, Brody Hill Hiley and Benjamin Hayes Hiley.
