He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Jr. Armstrong and Iva E. Armstrong; his daughter Marsha Lee Wertz; his wife Janet L. Fowler; and his brothers, Terry and Lonny.

He is survived by: his children, William P. and Dean F. Armstrong; his grandchildren, Heather, Rebecka Wertz, Blake Armstrong, Courtney Musselman, Emma Armstrong and Addison Armstrong; and his great grandchild Noah Luke.
