Johnson, Jr.; her husband Arthur Phillip Wright; her daughter Darlene Elizabeth Wright; her aunts, Mary Williams and Christine; her uncle Herbert Dibrell; her great-niece Jaylah L. Martinez; and her brother Gregory Paul Johnson.
She is survived by: her children, Darryl E. Wright of Savannah, GA and Rev. Valarie A. Wright; her grandchildren, Gabriel F. Wright (Naomi) of Atlanta, GA and Rachel N. Wright of Savannah, GA; her great grandchild Bryson; her brothers, Sylvester T. Johnson, III (Madelyn) and James A. Johnson; her aunt Ruby Johnson Jones; her nieces and nephews, Gerald Reynolds (Jennifer), Sonja L. Martinez (Juan Luis), DyAnn Houston (Veno), Keiko C. Anderson Shawana T. (DeVry C.), Harper (Guy E.), E. Brandon Huey (Allie), Brown, Frances Jones (Willie), Deborah Menefee (Robert) and Janice Suber (Terrence); her sister Jean Wainwright; and her close friends, Ernest, Ruby Hendrix, William, Louella Scott and Linda Y. Vaughn.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, December 17th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Chapel MeadowLawn Funeral Home (5611 E Houston St, San Antonio, TX 78220). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, December 18th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Bethel AME Church (225 N Swiss St, San Antonio, TX 78202). A burial was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 at 9:30 AM at the Shelter #3 Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery (1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd, San Antonio, TX 78209).
