She was predeceased by: her parents, Mary Ann Steele and Harvey Mergele; and her husband Sam Speir. She is survived by: her sisters, Patsy and Katy. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Homes and Cremation Services (2620 S Congress Ave, Austin, TX 78704). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location. A committal service was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the Austin Memorial Park Cemetery (2800 Hancock Dr, Austin, TX 78731).
