She was predeceased by: her parents, Alton Cecil Ward and Lela Lorene McDonald Ward; her siblings, Dorothy Jean Johnson, Cecil James Ward and Billy Alton Ward; her nephews, Neal Wheeler Ward and Hollis Keith Ward; and her in-laws, Leonard Clifton, Helen Ruth Bullock Smith, William Sidney and Marguerite Burwell Smith.
She is survived by: her friends, Martha Davis and Susan Clifton; her husband Charles Smith; her children, Sandra (Wesley Hensley), Laurie (Tim Wieding), Ward (Laura Smith) and LeeAnn Dye Barker; her grandchildren, Allison Rae Hensley (Zachary Ryan Strempel), Ryan Wesley Hensley, Pacen Layne Wieding, Holten Lee Wieding, Kaeley Anne Smith, Hannah Aubrey Smith, Wade Barker and Kelley Rochelle Barker; and her nieces and nephews, Linda Ann Ward McNair, Susan Alieen Johnson, Mark Alton Ward, Charles Reginald Johnson and Sidney Marvin Smith. She is also survived by many great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins and friends.
