With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Rosa Dames Gonzales Esquivel (San Antonio, Texas), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 4, 2025 at the age of 97. She was predeceased by: her parents, Margareto Gonzales and Rita Gonzales; her husband Patricio O. Esquivel; her children, Celia "Sally" Granados and Gene Dames Esquivel; her siblings, Louis, Manuel, Francisco, David, Mary, Sara and Rita; and her grandchildren, Vanessa Marie Navaira and Gene Dames Esquivel, Jr..

She is survived by: her children, George Esquivel (Martin Rodriguez) and Patricia Esquivel; her grandchildren, Pearl Esquivel, Edward Ethan Arredondo, Ray De La Cruz (Gabriela Montejano-De) and Brandon Hightower; and her great grandchildren, Xavier Vega, Kaylia Goodman, Delilah Heaggans, Zoe-Alisabeth Rosa Esquivel, Jacob De La Cruz, Patrick De La Cruz and Daniella De La Cruz.

A funeral service was held on Sunday, January 12th 2025 at 6:30 PM, on Monday, January 13th 2025 from 8:00 AM to 10:15 AM and at 11:00 AM.
