He was predeceased by: his parents, Adan Tamez and Cleotilde Martinez Tamez; and his siblings, Maria Louisa Velasquez, Cielo Ornelas and Alfred Tamez.
He is survived by: his children, Edward Tamez and Selena Tamez Garza (Joe L. Garza).
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 at 5:00 PM at the Angelus Chapel (1119 N St Mary's St, San Antonio, TX 78215). A rosary was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Holy Family Catholic Church (152 Florencia Ave, San Antonio, TX 78228). A graveside service was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 at 11:30 AM at the San Fernando Cemetery No. (746 Castroville Rd, San Antonio, TX 78237).
