He was predeceased by: his parents, Marcelino Solar and Carlota Cuellar. He is survived by: his wife Mary Lou Solar; his siblings, Beatrice Huriega, Marcelino Jr., Henrietta Botello, Lupe Solar and Elvira Gruchol; his grandson Patricio Torres Jr.; his children, Stephanie Oliva (Tim), Robert Solar Jr. (Olga), Martha Sutherlun (Douglas) and Roger Solar; his grandchildren, Mason Rios, Robert Solar III (Laura), Becky Solar, Paula and Ortiz (Hector); and his great grandchildren, Julie Solar, Sierra Solar and Israel Lozano Jr..
