He is survived by: his children, Mary Helen Garlitz (Paul), Richard Sanchez Jr. (Mariana) and Johnny Sanchez (Delia); his grandchildren, Jessica L. Sanchez, Sabrina W. Williams, Renee Sanchez, John David Garlitz, Daniela Ramirez, Karen Ramirez and Ethan C. Vancuso; and his great grandchildren, Jaxxon Zuniga, Derek Zuniga and Harley Williams.
