He is survived by: his wife Roxana Vargas; his children, Cynthia Trevino (Roland), David Vargas (Rosie), Mark Vargas (Danisia) and Roxana Celeste "Roxie" Vargas; and also, Yolanda Vargas, Eddie Vargas, Stephanie De Santiago, Roland Trevino Jr., Priscilla Trevino, Monica Torres, Mark Jr., Nicole Vargas Valdez, Nicholas Vargas, David Vargas Jr., Chrissy Vargas and Robert Moralez.

A rosary was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the Mission Park Funeral Chapels North (3401 Cherry Ridge Dr, San Antonio, TX 78230). Viewing was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 at 9:00 AM at the Mission Park Funeral Chapels (3401 Cherry Ridge Dr, San Antonio, TX 78230). A procession was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Anthony Mary Claret Catholic Church (105 Roft Rd, San Antonio, TX 78253). A reception was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Our Lady of Guadalupe Annex Property (11762 FM1560, Helotes, TX 78023). The military honors was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 at the Resurrection Cemetery (11624 Culebra Rd, San Antonio, TX 78253).
