She was predeceased by: her parents, Homer Evans and Mrytle Wylie Evans; her grandson Douglas James Ferguson Jr.; and her siblings, Joyce Deshay and Earnest Evans.
She is survived by: her children, Shirley Ray (Joseph), Gary Baker (Chrislyn), Carl Shannon (Renee) and James Shannon (Leisa); her grandchildren, Desiree Ota (Kip), Thomas Hunt, Gary Hunt Jr. (Patsy), Brendan Shannon, Elizabeth Faith Shannon and Arianna Cavender (Hank); her great grandchildren, David Jacob Canales, Michael Canales and Jessica Canales; and her sister Edna Byrum. She is also survived by numerous extended family and friends.
