She was predeceased by: her mother Ethel Mae Mason (Christian); her children, Bishop Horace M. Young, Carrie Bowen and Kenneth Carmack; and her brothers, Roosevelt Carmack, Sr. and Thomas Mason.

She is survived by: her children, Idline Williams of San Antonio, Texas and Roosevelt Carmack Jr. (Patricia) of Sumter; her sister Lois Green (Hosea) of Forestville, Maryland; and her goddaughter Cindy Brown of Philadelphia.
