He was predeceased by: his parents, Emma Mae and Jessie Peterson; his grandparents, Willie and Emmaline Williams; and his brothers, Leroy Peterson and Danny Peterson.
He is survived by: his significant other Ada Mae Peterson; his children, Sandra Warren, Regina Peterson-Earls, Lorraine Peterson, Charles Williams (Eugenia), Larry Peterson (Debbie), Terry Sanders (Esther) and Calvin Sanders (Ramona); his siblings, MaeDell Peterson Hardy, Jessie Peterson, Jr. (Linda), Charles Peterson (Alice), Donald Peterson and Shawn Peterson (Debra); his aunt Norma Jean Braddy Britton; and his uncle Charles Williams (Lisa). He is also survived by twelve grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and a host of cousins, nephews and nieces.
