He is survived by: his wife Cassandra Rivera (Juell); his grandmother Priscilla Licon (Larry Swallow) of Pueblo, Colorado; his parents, Matthew Rivera, Sr. and Lisa Esquibel; his parents-in-law, Curt and Laura Juell; his siblings, Johanna Esquibel of Pueblo, Madelynn, Manuel Rivera of Albuquerque and Eric; his sister-in-law Aunchelle Juell; his nieces and nephews, Makai'o and Kaipo Rivera; and also Kaiulani Torres of Santa Fe.
