It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Joan Butler of San Antonio, Texas, born in Indianapolis, Indiana, who passed away on May 15, 2024, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Dr. Austin Sweet and Mildred Sweet (Jaquith) of Martinsville, Indiana.. She is survived by: her sons, David Butler (Andrea) and Jeffrey Butler (Wendy); and her sisters, Maurine Bray and Sarah Roland. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 1 great grandson.

Donations in her memory may be made to the Kalamazoo Symphony or the Audubon Society.
