It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Helen Burkhalter Mueller of San Antonio, Texas, who passed away on April 8, 2025, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Miller Floyd and Antoinette Burkhalter; her brother Miller F. Burkhalter, Jr.; her sister-in-law Mayme Monestier Burkhalter; her husband Edwin L. Mueller, Jr.; and her son Richard.
She is survived by: her children, Marylee Kott (Edward) of Houston, Thomas (Donna) of Fayetteville, Douglas (Melanie) of San Antonio, Francis (Cheryl) of San Antonio, Susan Zapalac (Kenneth) of La Grange, Steven (Joyce) of Houston and James (Katherine) of Burnet; and her daughters-in-law, Martha Mueller of Dallas and Mary Ellen O'Banion of Coeur d'Alene, ID. She is also survived by 23 grandchildren and their spouses; and 44 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, April 13th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Angelus Chapel (1119 N St Mary's St, San Antonio, TX 78215). A rosary was held on Sunday, April 13th 2025 at 5:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Monday, April 14th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church (600 Oblate Dr, San Antonio, TX 78216).
