She is survived by: her husband Dennis Gates; her nephews, Troy McDougald and Skip McDougald; her stepchildren, Joel Gates (Stacey) and Leah Robertson; and her stepgranddaughters, Emily Copeland (Jeremy) and Kaylee Robertson.
