Maria left this world on August 12, 2024 at the age of 98, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her parents, Kalil Mery and Sada Mery; her son Richard Mery; and her sons-in-law, Roger Hill and John Gilderseeve.
She is survived by: her husband Joseph Karim Mery; her sister Janie Ashmore; her sister-in-law Samira Mery; and her children, Ron Mery (Sheila), Renee Rutledge (Tony), David Mery, Janice Gildersleeve, Geraldine Reid (John), Eric Mery, Diane Palasota (Joseph), Jackie Hill, Meladdie Magaro (Steve) and Dwayne Mery. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
