She was predeceased by: her parents, Maria Luisa and Seferino Gomez; her husband John R. Callahan Sr.; her son John R. Callahan Jr.; her sisters, Rosalina Slivocka and Zulema Gomez; and her nephew Andrew Slivocka III.
She is survived by: her daughter Cassandra Marie Callahan; her siblings, Edna Guzman (Felipe) and Gregorio Talamantez (Abdulia); her nieces, Teresa Howell (Troy), Helen Vasquez (David) and Veronica Gomez; her nephew Oscar Gomez Jr. (Michele); and her siblings-in-law, Oscar Gomez, Tom Callahan (Karen), Michael Callahan and Sandy Callahan.
