He was predeceased by: his parents, Guillermo Castro and Margarita Castro; and his siblings, Guillermo Castro, Juventino Castro, Catalina Castro Galaviz and Beatriz Castro Nava.
He is survived by: his sister Eva Alderete. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Upon retirement, he continued to serve his community by donating school supplies, backpacks and food to under privileged families.
