Kenneth Ashworth wrote a sympathy message

“David never felt he was a single child. As I searched for our runaway father, who deserted our mother to raise his four children in the Great Depression, I found that after leaving us in 1936, Harold L. Dadisman, had not only married our mother as Ashworth, he had married David's mother as George DuBois. Four of us Ashworths met joyously with David and his wife in Austin in 2012. We've been so happy to find our brother and fulfill his belief he had siblings. We will deeply miss our dear brother.”
