She was predeceased by: her parents, Martin W. Essary and Opal Irene Hinds Essary. She is survived by: her children, Ray Scott Patterson (Cynthia), Elizabeth Thompson and Jennifer Ann Fuglaar; and her sister Dortha McDaniel (Eddie). She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and other family members and friends.
