She was predeceased by: her parents, Rosie Varnell and G. B. Varnell; and her brother John "Buddy" Varnell. She is survived by: her husband James Overton; her daughter Kelli Renee Terrell (Patrick); her grandchildren, Seth and Evelyn; and her siblings, Eva Hankins (Donald), Betty Wreyford (James), Carol Varnell, Billy Varnell (Mary Kaye), Barbara Lenard and Jo Ann Taylor.
