He is survived by: his niece Ernestine Leal; his nephew Martin Leal Jr.; his wife Cecilia Valdez; his children, Julian Valdez Jr., Lisa Lopez (Ray) and Sandra Valdez (Paul); his grandchildren, Gabby, Saleen (Jorge), Noah, Josiah and Niko; his great grandchild Ella; and his siblings, Jose Jesse Jr., Rosemarie Penuelaz (Daniel), Evangalina Carillo, Carrie Valdez (Jay) and Stephen Rodriguez (Betty).
In lieu of flowers, donations will be greatly appreciated to the American Cancer Society and the American Heart Society.
