He is survived by: his wife Pamela Schlegel; his children, Catharine Neubert (Shaun), Terri Haas (Eugene, II) and John David Schlegel (Allison); his grandchildren, Amanda Hopkins (Russell), Michael Haas (Chanteal), Eugene Haas, III and Ellie Haas; and his sister Marybeth Hoesterey. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
