He was predeceased by: his wife Dora Ledesma Esquivel; his parents, Francisco and Isadora; his siblings, Rafaella and Paul; and his daughters, Elena and Dolores.

He is survived by: his children, John Anthony, David and Doris; his grandchildren, Anna-Lisa, John Paul and George; and his great grandchildren, Camilla, Joseph, Mackenzie and Julian. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
