He was predeceased by: his parents, Leslie Necker and Thelma Wiemers Necker; his former wife Linda Necker; his aunts, Lucille and Helen Margaret Wiemers; his sisters, Rosemary Tips (Jimmy) and Marjorie Petri (Max); and his brother-in-law Tom Knodell, Sr..
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Parkhurst Necker; his children, Debora Lynn Jones, Brenda Sue Taglieri (Carmine) and John Leslie Necker, Jr.; his grandchildren, Derek Klumpp and Grace Necker; his sister Dorothy Knodell; his stepdaughters, Renee Johnson (Tommy), Paige Proffitt (Paul) and Erin Hudson (Kent); and his stepgrandchildren, Charley Johnson, Colton, Peyton Davidson, Andrew, Hannah and Hayden Proffitt. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Viewing will be held on Monday, April 7th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Northeast - Puente & Sons Funeral Chapels (14315 Judson Rd, San Antonio, TX 78233). A rosary will be held on Monday, April 7th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, April 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM and at 11:30 AM at the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church (600 Oblate Dr, San Antonio, TX 78216). An entombment will be held on Tuesday, April 8th 2025 from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the Holy Cross Cemetery (17501 Nacogdoches Rd, San Antonio, TX 78266).
