He was predeceased by: his parents, Rolla Barney and Anna Lodge Barney; and his siblings, Allen, Eugene Barney and Mercy Ward.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Harvey; his brother Ishmael Barney (Amy); his children, Jannette Bole (Jerry), Jackie Ball (John) and John Hulka (Amy); and his granddaughters, Jordan and Jadyn Ball. He is also survived by nephews, nieces and cousins.
