JoAnn Wilma Zech Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of JoAnn Wilma Zech of New Braunfels, Texas, who passed away on April 23, 2025, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

Though her name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint JoAnn Wilma leaves upon the hearts of her loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of her spirit and the richness of her legacy.

She was predeceased by: her parents, John Bresinger and Cora Stehl Bresinger; her husband Walter F. Zech; her sons, Timothy Walter Zech and Thomas Evan Zech; her great grandchild Kaia Rose Barrera; and her brothers, John and Jim Bresinger.

She is survived by: her children, Jason Zech (Kelly), Heidi-Jo Zech-Castillo (David) and Heather Ann Zech (Christopher Herrera). She is also survived by nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

A graveside service was held on Friday, May 2nd 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM at the Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery (1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd, San Antonio, TX 78209).
