He was predeceased by: his parents, Bill Vaughn and Beryle Vaughn; and his brother Robert Vaughn. He is survived by: his wife Susie Vaughn; his children, Michaele Smith, Kelli West (Mike West), Jeremy and David Vaughn (Sherrelle Vaughn); his grandchildren, Mckenzie Smith, Kassidy West, Natalie West, Ava West, Jace Vaughn, Grayson Vaughn and Daniel Vaughn; and his brother Billy Vaughn.

In lieu of flowers or memorials, donations can be made in his honor to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
