He is survived by: his wife Vetta Hicks; his daughter Irene Michelle Hicks; his siblings, Jessie Mae Edwards, Ethel Lee Gardley (Thomas) and JB Hicks, Jr.; his siblings-in-law, Jo Nell Foley (Elroy), Gerlene Hardaway (Willie), Virginia Pettit and Charles Pettit, Sr. (Gerthie); and his grandchildren, Ryan Lawson, Evan Hardeman and Sean Jones. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
