He is survived by: his former wife Bertha Matthew; his wife Geneva McGowan of San Antonio; his daughter Daryln Tolbert; his stepchildren, LaWanda "Monique" Powdrill Eitwanda Moore (Jabrelle) of Dallas and Kevin Harris (Gigi); his granddaughter Darnisha Austell of Humble; his stepgrandsons, Jayceon Williams and Keith Tealer; his siblings, Robert (R. L.), Agnew (Daisy) of Houston and Josie Mae Stelly of Point; and his close friend Marcelous Minor. He is also survived by cousins and dear friends.
