Chavez; his wife Carmen Nieto; his daughters, Gloria Nieto, Sonia Nieto Chavez and Tomasita Nieto; his siblings, Rosita, Natalia and Richard; his grandchildren, Melissa Chavez (Rocky Zamora), Rogelio Chavez, Jr. (Ashly) and Michael Chavez (Gabi Orendain); and his great grandchildren, Andres, Arianna, Adalida and Luke. He is also survived by other family members and friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Brookehill Funeral Home (711 SE Military Dr, San Antonio, TX 78214). A rosary was held on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 at 6:30 PM at the same location. A procession was held on Wednesday, April 23rd 2025 at 9:30 AM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, April 23rd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Mission San Jose Catholic Church (701 E Pyron Ave, San Antonio, TX 78214). A burial was held on Wednesday, April 23rd 2025 at the San Jose Burial Park (8235 Mission Rd, San Antonio, TX 78214).
