He was predeceased by: his parents, Hilario Cerda and Teresita Cerda. He is survived by: his wife Francisca Cerda; and his children, Jorge Cerda, Alex Cerda, Larry Cerda and Laura Cerda. He is also survived by his siblings and numerous grandchildren.
