She was predeceased by: her parents, Pedro Reyes and Mary Louise Medellin; her husband Juan A. Trevino; her son Robert; and her brother Arturo.

She is survived by: her sister Mary Lou Cruz (Ernest); and her children, Juan A. Trevino, Jr. (Sandy), Ruben Trevino (Carol) and Sylvia DeHoyos (Jesse). She is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.

Herlinda's favorite past times were playing bingo and "donating to a state's economy," the casino.
