She was predeceased by : her parents, Pedro Reyes and Mary Louise Medellin; her husband Juan A. Trevino; her son Robert; and her brother Arturo.

She is survived by : her sister Mary Lou Cruz (Ernest); and her children, Juan A. Trevino, Jr. (Sandy), Ruben Trevino (Carol) and Sylvia DeHoyos (Jesse). She is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, July 2nd 2024 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the MeadowLawn Funeral Home (5611 E Houston St, San Antonio, TX 78220). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, July 2nd 2024 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at the St. Paul Episcopal Church (1018 E Grayson St, San Antonio, TX 78208). A burial was held on Tuesday, July 2nd 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery (1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd, San Antonio, TX 78209).

Herlinda's favorite past times were playing bingo and "donating to a state's economy," the casino.
