He was predeceased by: his father Gilberto Vargas Sr.; and his sister Esperanza V. Rodriguez. He is survived by: his mother Sista V. Vargas; and his siblings, Maria Elena Perez, Nicolas, Roberto, Federico and Ernesto. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM at the Funeraria Del Angel Trevino Funeral Home (226 Cupples Rd, San Antonio, TX 78237). A rosary was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A procession was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the same location. A Mass was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church (617 S Santa Rosa Ave, San Antonio, TX 78204). A burial was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at the San Fernando Cemetery (746 Castroville Rd, San Antonio, TX 78237).
