He is survived by: his wife Sue Catherine Fisher; his daughters, Kathleen (John Carroll) and Shelley (Steven Mutz); his grandchildren, Ethan Mutz, Connor Carroll, Owen Mutz and Morgan Mutz; and his stepgrandchildren, Catherine Mitchell, John Carroll Jr. and Matthew Carroll.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
