He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Gabriel Escobedo Sr. and Benita Sandoval (Gabriel Escobedo); his pet Zero; his wife Gloria M. Escobedo; his children, Louis Valdez (Cristina), Rita Escobedo, Richard Escobedo, Benjamin Escobedo and Gabriel Anthony Escobedo; his stepchildren, Ernest Mesquiti (Lara), Alexander Mesquiti (Melissa) and Bridget Flores (Oscar); and his siblings, James Morrison and Lisa Carranco. He was also cherished by his 17 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.
