He was predeceased by: his parents, Francisco Martinez Acosta and Maria Luisa Rodarte Acosta; his wife Yolanda Aguirre Acosta; and his siblings, Irene Acosta and Ronald James Brown Sr..

He is survived by: his children, Melissa, Francisco Jr., Francesca, Jose, Maryanne and Alberto; his grandchildren, Sarah, James, Alexandria, Jakob, Ivan and Frankie; and his siblings, Miguel Rodarte Acosta and Rosalinda Acosta Casarez Anaya. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
