She was predeceased by: her parents, Teodoro Cruz and Juanita De La Cruz; and her siblings, Martin De La Cruz, Juan De La Cruz and Leonor De La Cruz.

She is survived by: her sons, Ricardo Requena, Jesus Casarez and Armando Casarez; her husband Luis Casarez; and her children, Maria Guadalupe Gutierrez, Pedro Requena, Jorge Requena, Dora Haro, Luis Casarez, Francisca Herrera and Alma Gonzalez. She is also survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Monday, September 30th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, October 1st 2024 from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM at the M. E. Rodriguez Funeral Home (511 Guadalupe St, San Antonio, TX 78207). A rosary will be held on Monday, September 30th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location. A Mass will be held on Tuesday, October 1st 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church (617 S Santa Rosa Ave, San Antonio, TX 78204). A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, October 1st 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the San Fernando Cemetery No 2 (746 Castroville Rd, San Antonio, TX 78237).
