He was predeceased by: his parents, Alberto Arellano and Cecilia Arellano; and his siblings, Alberto Jr., Modesta Noriega, Antonia Martinez, Andrea Espinoza, Carmen Vallejo and Cecilia Sancho.
He is survived by: his wife Yolanda Arrellano; his children, Ernesto Jr. (Annette), Fidel (Yvonne), Andrew (Cecilia) and Mary Alice; and his stepdaughter Teresa Barrera. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
