He is survived by: his wife Sarah Gomez Flores; his children, Joshua Gomez, Keri Alvarez, Liza Beth Gomez and Christi Rae Smith; his mother Lupe Ruiz-Flores; his sisters, Carolyn Boyd and Sylvia Knopp; his grandchildren, Jullyssa, Isabella Alvarez, Judith Edie, Alice Gomez, Bellamy Rey, Brynnlee Quinn Smith and Dean Edward Mercer; his close friends, Adam Serrano, Anthony Panyagua, Fernando Gutierrez and Steve Garcia; his son-in-law Cody Smith; and his brother-in-law Tomai Knopp.
