With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Eddie Ortiz of San Antonio, Texas, who passed away on November 6, 2024 at the age of 57. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid adieu to Eddie's earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in his wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration Eddie has bequeathed us. For though he may have departed from our sight, his spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Rose Fox and Vincent Ortiz. He is survived by: his significant other Martin Salazar; his brother John Ortiz (Carrie Leighty); his stepfather Lauren Fox (Grumpy); and his nephews, Jacob Ortiz (Brittney Geary) and John Paul Ortiz. He is also survived by numerous family members and friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 10th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Sunset Funeral Home (1701 Austin Hwy, San Antonio, TX 78218). A funeral service was held on Monday, November 11th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location. A committal service was held on Monday, November 11th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Sunset Memorial Park & Funeral Home (1701 Austin Hwy, San Antonio, TX 78218).
